Thats to Salty!

assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah,

While we like to complain about the salt in our food, no ketchup in the burger, slightly burnt parathas and about which Masajid offers the best Iftaars, there are people looking for the most basic necessity in life, water.

We get irritated by a long line up (only 5 people ahead of us) at Walmart with a shopping cart full of food, imagine lining up holding onto your child who is depending on that empty bowl, which you are hoping to fill with a few morsels of food and drops of water.

Check out these amazing photos to present to you the current condition in East Africa:

Take advantage of the last few days of Ramadaan by donating, making dua' etc. In one halaqa a student from Madinah was mentioning that the trail of having wealth is usually a greater trail than not having wealth. I wonder if people in East Africa are being tried in a greater manner or us through our hardened, stained and greedy hearts.

Hope this is a motivation to help out inshaa Allah,

Anas (Radhi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa Sallam) say:
"Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it."
